904L stainless steel sintered wire mesh is made by 904L (EN 1.4539) super austenitic stainless steel material. Stainless steel 904L is mainly used for moderate to high corrosive working condition. The high chromium and nickel content, with additional copper and molybdenum elements contribute to outstanding corrosion resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and pitting. 904L alloy is also with good resistance to dilute sulfuric acid and other inorganic acids and most organic acids.
904L stainless steel wire mesh is widely available in weaving pattern and micron rating. Perforated metal sheet of 904L stainless steel can be in various thickness, hole shape, size and pitch. 904L is more cost effective than Hastelloy C sintered wire mesh in working conditions which do not need extreme corrosion resistance.
